Letter from Sallie E. Bolton, Millersville, Pennsylvania to her mother, Mary Ann Brosius Bolton. Contents relate to Bolton's return to Lancaster County Normal School after a vacation. Bolton's former roommate, Kate, has not returned so she has a room to herself. Bolton describes the events and people related to a new school year, and mentions some oversights on her departure, i.e. leaving her hoops behind in a closet, and paying a dressmaker.
