Abstract

This paper seeks to examine how rent payment and reward applications interact with the American leasing environment. To do so, three rent payment apps, and three rent reward apps were chosen to thoroughly examine. Furthermore, common existing issues with renting expressed by both tenants and landlords were outlined, and the chosen apps interactions with such are addressed. In addition to that, the new unique challenges that arise from the use of these apps will also be outlined and explained. The structure of the paper is broken down into a cost and benefit analysis for both renters and landlords, with a section for each, addressing specifically how payment and reward apps are applicable.
